This organic white tea is grown in the Fujian Province of China. Hand-picked in early April, this special tea is made up of young, fuzzy tea buds. The drying process is done naturally until 90% of the moisture has been removed from the leaves. The drying process is then completed indoors over very low heat. This long and low temperature drying process keeps the buds natural white color intact.
Silver Needle yields a pale, peachy yellow brew with a sweet nectar aroma. The taste is delicate, reminiscent of squash blossoms and gardenia flowers. The mouthfeel is smooth and juicy rather than drying.
For the perfect cup, brew at 185 degrees for 3 minutes (approx. 1 tsp. per 8-10 ounces of water)
